Overview

B3H is looking for a Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) to provide highly qualified and experienced flying operations support non-personal services for 432d Wing operations at Shaw AFB, SC, and home to the 25th Attack Group (25 ATKG).  The 432 WG is the Air Force’s first remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) wing, providing all operations, logistics, and support aspects of MQ-9 Reaper training and employment for multiple squadrons. Aircraft being flown by 432d WG pilots and sensor operators based in the Continental United States (CONUS) provide support to contingency operations worldwide as well as MQ-9 training.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process individuals for deployments/re-deployments to/from combat zones, exercises, and other locations based on US Government, DOD, AF, COCOM, and any other applicable guidance.
  • Coordinate and schedule required pre-departure training with the deploying personnel, their supervisor and affected scheduling shops. The UDM will need to maintain training for and access to the “Automated Civil Engineering System” (ACES) and the “Security Forces Management Information System” (SFMIS) for scheduling pre-deployment training.
  • Build and maintain individual mobility folders for all unit personnel. This number is dependent upon unit size but is within the scope of AFI 10-403 UDM responsibilities.
  • Procure deployment equipment specified by organizations or guidance from organizations through outsourcing Government UDMs, maintain this equipment, and distribute individual equipment for deploying personnel utilizing current host base and AFI guidance
  • Prepare and submit a list of requirements for purchase to squadron leadership.
  • Manage deployment reporting in the Air Expeditionary Force Reporting
  • Tool (ART) including Unit Type Code posturing and individual status updates.
  • Manage SORTS and DRRS reporting tools for proper unit posturing (as desired/required).
  • LOGMOD and Excel to track pre-deployment/post-deployment mobility, logistics, security, ancillary training, medical, and dental requirements.
  • LOGMOD and Excel to prepare status reports showing individual, unit, and group readiness for deployment.
  • Interface with unit schedulers to ensure individuals complete deployment requirements in a timely manner.
  • Track, comply with, and report individual and unit deployment statistics.
  • Interface with Government-designated Commercial Travel Office (CTO), Air Mobility Command liaison officers, and unit/group/wing resource advisors to arrange and/or de- conflict deployment/re-deployment travel.
  • Provide weekly updates to squadron/group/wing leadership containing the duty status and location of deployed personnel to facilitate tracking of duty status and performance report/decoration accomplishment.
  • Interface with Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) and mobility support agencies at Installation level to facilitate the scheduling and accomplishment of pre- deployment ancillary training events.
  • Coordinate with wing, base and higher headquarters offices on deployment issues and maintain mobility folders/documentation IAW DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, AFI 10-244, AFI 10-403, AFI 33-332, AFI 37-132, associated CENTAF/ACC/Installation supplements, and locally-developed guidance.
  • Create monthly reports outlining mobility status of all unit members and the preparation level/status versus total requirements of those tasked to deploy.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in/with the military and either:

            Two (2) years of experience working as a MQ-1/9 or RQ-170 Squadron UDM

     OR

            Three (3) years of experience working in a DoD Squadron deployment office.

  • No negative administrative, judicial, non-judicial, or criminal action/record in previous civilian or military employment for five (5) years. No history of being terminated from civilian employment, denied reenlistment, administratively discharged, or separated from the military under any condition other than honorable.
  • Current DoD Clearance
