Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Air Operations Center (AOC) and Air Force Forces (AFFOR) subject matter expert to provide instruction, course execution, and course development support to the 705 TRS for government-led maintenance and execution of the C2 Warrior Advanced Course (C2WAC).  The C2WAC is an advanced Air Operations training and education course.  Location will be Hurlburt Field, FL. The target audience is competitively selected joint and coalition O-3 through O-5 personnel.  Graduating personnel are assigned to, or projected for, Air Operation Center (AOC) leadership positions as team/cell leads.  Graduates are able to understand, coordinate, and integrate all capabilities made available for tasking by the Coalition/Joint Forces Air Component Commander (C/JFACC) within the air component.  AOC processes are the primary focus, however, Air Force Forces staff (AFFOR) enabling responsibilities and ties to AFFOR processes will be taught and emphasized throughout.  Courseware will use an organizational construct in which the Commander Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR) has been designated the C/JFACC, Area Air Defense Commander (AADC), Airspace Control Authority (ACA), Space Coordination Authority (SCA) and backdrop of pending and/or ongoing Major Combat Operations (MCO) for instruction and exercises

B3H delivers quality performance with complete government visibility and control. We are seeking a highly experienced Air Operations Center (AOC) and Air Force Forces (AFFOR) subject matter expert to provide instruction, course execution, and course development support to the 705 TRS for government-led maintenance and execution of the C2 Warrior Advanced Course (C2WAC).

Responsibilities

  • Provide and/or coordinate all academic instruction as directed by the Course Director, Course Manager, and course syllabus, including, but not limited to lectures, practical exercises, small group events and guided discussions

  • Prepare classrooms for instruction

  • Operate academic equipment (i.e., projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc.)

  • Issue required student courseware (Student Guides, handouts, approved changes, etc) required for course attendance to include maintaining student folders as required 

  • Ensure course materials are current prior to each instruction event 

  • Provide a scheduled review period to go over desired learning objectives and answer questions in preparation for student academic examinations/practical exercises

  • Administer and score examinations.  Assist students in correcting wrong answers to 100 percent for each student after they pass the exam ensuring the student comprehends the correct answer. 

  • Provide counseling and remedial academic training to students upon failure of an academic examination or evaluation.  Remediation shall be scheduled by the course manager and coordinated with the training flight.  Remedial training shall be scheduled to allow continued normal progression in the syllabus or training plan.

  • Retest students IAW the syllabus.  Document all test failures and submit any requested information for inclusion in the course execution after action report.

  • Provide make-up instruction and remedial academic training for students who have missed class for operational and approved personal reasons.

  • Ensure instructors maintain current reference material (able to access current reference materials, IGs, SGs, other courseware documents required for instruction, etc.).

  • Participate with student counseling and administrative review boards, as directed by the Government.

  • Develop, review, and respond to end-of-phase and end-of-course critiques of academic instruction.  Coordinate all critiques IAW the governing syllabus.  Coordinate all student comments and courseware corrections, to include errata sheets, with the Government prior to use in the classroom.  Provide completed critiques/student’s comments to the course manager for review.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive graduate evaluation plan used to determine academic instruction effectiveness, based on students feedback gained during practical field Falconer experience.

  • Assist with maintaining continuity folders, reference material, audiovisual library, films, tapes and lesson courseware.

  • On a not-to-interfere basis with course execution schedules, provide air component-related expertise for exercise support. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in operational-level air, space, and/or cyber warfare, both generally and in their specific functional and/or positional arena in one or more of the below-listed operational-level AOC and/or AFFOR staff specialties/fields

  • Operational level expertise in the following processes within the AOC Weapons System:  Crisis Action Planning; Course of Action (COA) Development; Special Access Programs/Special Access Required programs and associated information; Strategy and Operational Assessment; Combat Plans, including Master Air Attack Plan (MAAP) and Target Effects Team (TET); Combat Operations, including Time Critical Targeting and Non-Kinetic Operations (NKO); Airspace Control/Management; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)—to include, among others, Analysis Correlation and Fusion (ACF); Targeting/Weaponeering, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED), and Collection Management; Information Operations; Air Defense; Battlefield Coordination Detachment (BCD); Combat Search and Rescue/Personnel Recovery (CSAR/PR); Logistics; Communications; Director of Mobility Forces (DIRMOBFOR)/Air Mobility Operations; Director of Space Forces (DIRSPACEFOR)/Space Operations; Cyber Operations; and Support to Special Operations.
  • Attend and successfully complete Government-provided instructor certification requirements

  • USAF Weapons School, School of Advanced Military Studies, Joint Advanced Warfighting School, School of Advanced Air and Space Studies or other equivalent school graduate

  • At least one year of experience within the past 5 years in a geographic or global AFCHQ

  • Will have held positions within that of an O-4 to O-6 level, and, preferably, served as either a Team Chief or Division Chief.  SMEs must have experience with operational-level air, or space, or cyber warfare, both generally and in their specific functional and/or positional area.  
  • Highly desired that have at least 3 years of AFCHQ experience, be post-2016 graduates of C2WAC/ACSTOPC, have participated in at least two Tier-1 operational-level exercise, have been a team or division chief, been an APG/OPG/OPT lead, graduate of any USAFWS or equivalent WIC, graduates of rank- appropriate military PME, and/or have experience developing formal military courses.
  • Operational Warfare Planning Instructors with demonstrated experience and personal expertise in multi-domain operations, joint planning, and the air tasking cycle.
  • Proficient with multimedia operations required for instructional briefings, presentations, and exercise activities
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Current DoD Security Clearance Required.
