Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced expert to advise BACN WST on logistics, and technical issues affecting E-11As and RD-PCEs maintenance and sustainment (specifically non command funding issues). Position is located at Langley AFB, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input on Centralized Asset Management (CAM) funding issues and act as the focal point on CAM issues.
  • Provide BACN operations and maintenance (CONUS/OCONUS) expertise and assistance with Technical Orders, engineering changes, manuals, logistic plans, requirements, configuration etc.) and urgent operational needs (UONs).
  • Coordinate across multiple levels of command to gain consensus and support for high-risk emerging issues at leadership levels across ACC/A4 and ACC/A5/8/9 and externally.
  • Support the development of documentation as required to transition BACN maintenance program into a mix of military and contractor personnel as required.
  • Support transition and fielding activities, system bed-down, unit activations, and contingency planning and execution.
  • Support and assist as required to resolve system engineering and maintenance concerns.
  • Support force structure-11A aircraft and RD-PCE requirements and manage depot maintenance and systems.
  • Support requirements definition for the ACC Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) effort for E-11A in establishing sustainment requirements for system upgrades and improvements.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • Ten (10) years’ aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a WST CAM focal point
  • A combination of an associate degree from an accredited University AND Ten (10) years of aircraft maintenance experience or 20 years aircraft maintenance experience (may be the combination of active duty, government service and/or contractor time) in working aircraft maintenance, logistics and/or support at various levels.)
  • Two (2) years’ experience as a Wing or higher-level staff (e.g., MAJCOM, HAF or equivalent) staff officer or
  • equivalent position creating, preparing, conducting, delivering, oral/written decision briefs, reports, positions, draft messages, and other correspondence.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with USAF aircraft maintenance related duties directly associated with technical assistance to resolve Air Force system engineering and maintenance concerns.
  • Five (5) years’ experience establishing sustainment requirements for system upgrades and improvements and evaluate associated technical data, technical manuals, and engineering changes
  • SECRET clearance.
