The Configuration Management Specialist I position will support the Submarine On Board Training (SOBT) Program  from the Submarine Learning Center (SLC), in Groton, CT, with the specific goal of creating close coordination and cooperation for development and implementation of training materials among fleet users, cognizant commanders, and trainer acquisition activities. The primary objective of the services performed under this task order is to support Fleet readiness and training. Services under this task order include project management support, software engineering, programming and network maintenance, database management, increasing the maintainability and reliability of software tools, administrative and clerical tasks, network administration, configuration management, Inspection, Verification, and Validation (IV&V), Information Assurance (IA), and Information Technology (IT). This position is for proposal award.




  • Responsible for configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.
  • Works closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Provide change management and product configuration management guidance.



  • Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline. Associate degree, combined with 4 additional years of significant, relevant work experience may be considered.
  • 3 years professional experience in configuration management.
  • Secret Clearance
