    Policy Support. provide support at ODASD (CN&GT). ODASD (CN&GT) requires a physical presence for successful task performance. In coordination with the COR, ODASD (CN&GT) will provide facilities for one (1) Contractor personnel in ODASD (CN&GT) spaces in the Pentagon, Arlington, VA starting January 2, 2016 and four (4) Contractor personnel in ODASD (CN&GT) spaces in the Pentagon, Arlington, VA starting January 20, 2016.

    Responsibilities

    Research, for USG personnel review, policy issues concerning National Drug Control Program efforts and work closely with the OSD, the Joint Staff, the GCCs, Military Departments, Defense Agencies, USSOCOM, NGB, the Intelligence Community, other USG Departments, and U.S. and foreign law enforcement agencies to research issues, identify stakeholder impacts, and support coordination that involves or relates to DoD efforts to counter the illicit drug trade, threat finance, piracy, transnational organized crime, and trafficking in persons, wildlife, and weapons.

    Gather information and provide advice, opinions, and recommendations to USG personnel on matters related to DoD counternarcotics policy, such as terms for international agreements, treaties, foreign military sales, and security assistance programs, and DoD efforts to support USG programs to counter the illicit drug trade, threat finance, piracy, transnational organized crime, and trafficking in persons, wildlife, and weapons.

    Conduct assessments, for USG personnel review, of broad changes to the international environment and implications for DoD efforts to counter the illicit drug trade, threat finance, piracy, transnational organized crime, and trafficking in persons, wildlife, and weapons.

    Conduct a portfolio management and quality assurance program to improve decision-making, strategic alignment, and overall quality of counternarcotics portfolios in Mexico, Central America, Central Asia, Counter Piracy, and Counter Transnational Organized Crime.

    Qualifications

    KSAs. Policy Support must possess the following attributes:

    Contractor personnel providing physical presence shall possess a master’s degree in international relations, political science, or related field such as security studies or sociology.

    Ten (10) years of experience providing a similar caliber of services to the services described in paragraph

    4.5.1 to very senior general officer or flag officer ranks in the U.S. Armed Forces or SES levels within DoD or other government agencies (or equivalent industry levels).
