We are seeking candidates for a Program Manager responsible for all apsects fo the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Aircrew Instrtuctor Support Services contract for the Air Force Special Operations Air Warfare Center (AFSOAWC).  The objective of the contract is to provide AFSOAWC with fixed wing aircrew instruction, fixed wing flight instruction, remotely pilot aircraft (RPA) aircrew instruction, fixed wing simulator instruction, and weapon system leads for AC-130U, MC-130H, MC-130W, U-28 and RPAs.  Additional Mission Design Series (MDS) may be added to the contract during the life of support.  The Program Manager will oversee a workforce of approximately 95 personnel with future expansion to 116 split between Hurlburt Field, FL and Cannon AFB, NM. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Perform as the primary point(s) of contact to accomplish the managerial, contractual, financial and administrative aspects of the contract, and work with the Government on all contract issues.
    • Develop a reliable, quality focused team including partners and vendors for various operations and training functions.
    • Provide monthly contract status reports in form and format to send to responsible government personnel, to include Government Project Manager and/or Government COR
    • Provide project leadership to and management of assigned projects or major phases of significant project or programs by coordinating the efforts of assigned staff
    • Manage all activities, including performance, financial, and human resources, of instruction tasks with relatively high risk and complexity under the terms and conditions of the contract(s) to effect optimum profit and customer satisfaction
    • Formulate and enforce work standards, assign personnel schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise  personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinate contractor and subcontractor personnel.
    • Manage task orders and ensure the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner
    • Coordinate review meetings and publish meeting results
    • Identify and recommend objectives and scope of projects and communicate goals, scope, approach, and schedules to assigned personnel.
    • Ensure contract tasks are executed on schedule and within budget.
    • Coordinate/Negotiate contract modification that may result in increase or decrease in level of effort and performance thresholds. 
    • Oversee the management of all subcontracts, subcontracted personnel and the perfromance of all subcontractors within cost, schedule and performance thresholds. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of AFSOC experience
    • Extensive experience employing AFSOC aircraft
    • Former AFSO aircrew instructor (highly desired)
    • Demonstrated capability to manage multi-task programs of various types and complexity

    • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification desired
    • Current Secret Security Clearance, ability to obtain a Top Secret Security clearance and SCI eligibility
