The 608 AOC at Barksdale AFB requires Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to provide specialized contract AOC functional operators, technicians and subject matter experts (SME) to augment, enhance forces and operations.
Provide liaison between the AOC Commander and the Chief of AOC Systems to ensure approximately 200 AOC Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) systems are setup, configured and operating in a manner that meets operational needs.
Submit validated C4I requirements to the Chief, AOC COMM Team (ACT).
Coordinate with HHQ on theater-wide C4I systems issues at the operational level on an approximately quarterly basis.
Report to AOC Director on implementation and strict compliance of System Program Office (SPO) and MAJCOM CM policies as well as site specific standards on an approximately weekly basis.
Maintain current as-built site configuration in the CM status accounting tool at the management level on an approximately weekly basis.
Maintain as-built CM status accounting records at the management level containing baseline information on approximately 15 site systems' floor plans and architectures.
Prepare, submit and monitor approximately five Request for Variance letters for any site variance on an approximately monthly basis.
Travel in support of operations in support of exercises and experiments that may require CONUS and OCONUS travel.
Participate in AOC Weapons System Development and Operational Tests.
Assist the Information Assurance Manager to resolve site security and accreditation issues
Serve as the AOC/CC focal point and principle advisor for AOC day-to-day CM decisions, site CRB/CCB meetings and any other CM related duties and responsibilities.
Establish and maintain strict control of master media and documentation libraries.
Conduct CM audits and physical inventories.
Coordinate with site users and develop procedures for submitting enterprise change requests to the program management office.
Manage and process site request for variances for all configurable items that deviate from the weapon system baseline.
Establish and conduct initial and annual configuration management training to site personnel.
A Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Graduation from a DoD Pilot, Navigator, or Air Battle Manager training course.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the following AOC Processes: Strategy Development; Target Development; Guidance, Apportionment, and Targeting (GAT); Master Air Attack Plan (MAAP) development; and ATO Execution; and
Familiar with the AOC Weapon System and AOC operational training requirements and has at least three (3) years mandatory experience in an AOC; demonstrated relevant experience working with AOC Weapon Systems and familiar with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 13-1 AOC Volume 3 Operational Procedures – Air and Space Operations Center, secure facility access processes.
Demonstrated relative knowledge of intelligence capabilities, processes, and tasking mechanisms necessary to support Government efforts for performance of AOC WS.
More than five (5) years of demonstrated relevant experience with and/or education in the following:
Completion of Configuration Management II course or American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) 649 certification; and
Participation in AOC exercises or operations as AOC C4I System Manager or Deputy AOC C4I System Manager. Real world contingency experience is highly desired; and
Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS); and
(Desired) Completion of formal AOC Field Training Unit (FTU) Course prior to hire.
