The MQ-1/MQ-9 Operations Branch (ACC/A3MU) is responsible for the organization, training, management, and provides the operational expertise required to meet current and future needs of MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper. The organization develops, coordinates, and publishes command guidance for all aspects of aircrew training in CAF RPA units. A3MU also develops realistic training requirements, programs, and instructions to ensure combat-ready forces for theater wartime tasking. With the proliferation of RPA in the battlespace, A3MU is continually being tasked to support the development and operations outside of RPA expertise. Although the branch is funded and tasked specifically to support the Predator and Reaper, tasks extend to all fielded or un-fielded RPAs as determined by ACC/A3MU.
Manage and execute aircrew training within the MQ-1/9 enterprise.
Manage funding, travel, and student allocations to fulfill requirements within the RPA training community.
Review, coordinate, and prepare RPA Instructions and policy (Air Force Instruction (AFI) 11-2 MQ-1/9V 1-3 and Air Force Tactics, Technics and Procedures (AFTTP) 3-1 Technical Orders) changes and rewrites in coordination with Wing and Staff standardization and evaluation functions.
Review, coordinate, and prepare Ready Aircrew Program (RAP) tasking messages and reports.
Review, coordinate, and prepare Realistic Training Review Board (RTRB) briefings, and publish pre and post RTRB products semi-annually.
Perform duties as operations representative for Predator Mission Aircrew Training System (PMATS) and Distributed Missions Operation (DMO) integration. Develop DMO Strategy and brief leadership.
Review, coordinate, and prepare responses for Safety Investigation Board (SIB) or Accident Investigation Board (AIB).
Review, coordinate, and prepare mishap review panel brief and semi-annual Air Force Safety Automated System (AFSAS) review for Commander, ACC (COMACC).
US Citizen, active TS required - SCI eligible
Possess a Bachelor degree.
Minimum of two years of recent experience managing MQ-1 or MQ-9 related operations programs (within last three years) or five years of recent (within last year) rated MQ-1 or MQ-9 experience (recent within last six years).
Minimum of six years of operational mission experience in DoD aircraft performing duties as rated aircrew member.
Minimum of two years of Numbered Air Force or higher level staff experience directly related to managing complex operations-related aviation programs.
