This contract provides non-personal services for UAS instruction, maintenance, logistics support, prescribed load list (PLL), flight line operations support, and Information Technology (IT) network support, for UAS training conducted at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona by the 2nd Battalion, 13th (2/13th) Aviation Regiment, 1st Aviation Brigade, U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Training will be presented to Military Occupational Specialty Transition and entry-level US Army Soldiers who will be learning to operate and/or maintain the Shadow 200 and Gray Eagle UAS utilizing simulation systems in a classroom environment in addition to actual flight operations. We will provide services for the 2/13th USAACE Requiring Activities (RA) in support of their overarching training and training support missions. Training Instructors provide performance-oriented training using the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) approved Programs of Instruction (POI). Training can be classroom training, hands-on/practical exercise performance-oriented training, simulation/virtual training, and/or field exercise training.
Provide flight-line operations and mission support for the 2nd Battalion, 13th Aviation Regiment, which includes the facilities for two respective UAS programs of instruction, Shadow 200 and Gray Eagle. Areas supported include but are not limited to Libby Army Airfield, Rugge-Hamilton Airfield, Pioneer Airfield, East and West Ranges, Laser Range, Site Kilo, Site Maverick, Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Company. Duties will typically include ground flight observer operations, participation in downed aircraft recovery teams, securing ranges, Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant (POL) support, and site maintenance.
Perform facilities inspections on a weekly basis ensuring for the security and serviceability by maintaining documentation and submitting work orders for any discrepancies or faults.
Maintain assigned equipment, which includes vehicles, power plant, communications and other support equipment necessary for Mission Support operations.
Maintain and repairs a variety of hand and power tools ensuing they are in safe and efficient working order.
Coordinate with agencies on Fort Huachuca for Post level inspections including buildings/facilities, hazardous waste spills, new building projects, erosion control, and any additional site maintenance as required.
Perform a variety of, self-help type maintenance, modification and repair activities.
Assist in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of services, to include preventive and predictive maintenance, and repair services.
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, depending upon experience and level of certification.
Maintain facilities, storage sites and other areas in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintains logs and records of equipment maintenance.
Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be physical fit to occasionally stand, bend, reach, crawl, lift, etc.
