This contract provides non-personal services for UAS instruction, maintenance, logistics support, prescribed load list (PLL), flight line operations support, and Information Technology (IT) network support, for UAS training conducted at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona by the 2nd Battalion, 13th (2/13th) Aviation Regiment, 1st Aviation Brigade, U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Training will be presented to Military Occupational Specialty Transition and entry-level US Army Soldiers who will be learning to operate and/or maintain the Shadow 200 and Gray Eagle UAS utilizing simulation systems in a classroom environment in addition to actual flight operations. We will provide services for the 2/13th USAACE Requiring Activities (RA) in support of their overarching training and training support missions. Training Instructors provide performance-oriented training using the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) approved Programs of Instruction (POI). Training can be classroom training, hands-on/practical exercise performance-oriented training, simulation/virtual training, and/or field exercise training.
Provide flight-line operations and mission support for the 2nd Battalion, 13 th Aviation Regiment, which includes the facilities for two respective UAS programs of instruction, Shadow 200 and Gray Eagle. Areas supported include but are not limited to Libby Army Airfield, Rugge-Hamilton Airfield, Pioneer Airfield, East and West Ranges, Laser Range, Site Kilo, Site Maverick, Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Company. Duties will typically include ground flight observer operations, participation in downed aircraft recovery teams, securing ranges, Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant (POL) support, and site maintenance.
Provide independent judgment and discretion relating to all aspects of aviation and maintenance safety serving as support staff for the 2nd Battalion, 13th Aviation Regiment’s Crash Recovery Team.
Maintain and perform POL support functions at the 2nd Battalion, 13th Aviation Regiment
Be responsible for Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) functions and controls incidental to operations at several different flight-lines.
Conduct hazardous material and hazardous waste inspections for ground operations; maintain forms used on site for tracking POL usage.
Provide personnel to assist the government in securing ranges.
Maintain training and or certification to properly respond to aircraft recovery operations, HAZMAT response, and Laser safety.
Maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a HAZMAT and tanker endorsement.
