B3H Corporation is seeking qualified candidates to provide support, assistance, advice and training for the efficient and effective management and operation of the Academic Affairs Branch/Academic Support Section within the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC), Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, TX. The position will provide a variety of management and professional services to include: 1) Developing plans, programs and procedures; 2) Making recommendations on organizational policy/directives; 3) Accomplishing data analysis and lessons learned development; 4) Drafting reports; 5) Providing reviews, evaluations and recommendations on subjects of highly specialized areas of concern; 6) Conducting coordination efforts with program sponsors, management and technical personnel, support organizations and outside agencies; 7) Supplementing METC Faculty and Staff’s knowledge and expertise in the areas of (but not limited to) instructional delivery processes, curriculum development, course evaluation, academic counseling, instructional qualification records, and institutional and programmatic accreditations.
Serves as an ISS to work with the Faculty, Staff and Student Development (FS&SD) Section in a program that provides education and training services.
Serves as an ISS to develop curriculum, which must be commensurate with college-level instruction. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in the field of curriculum development to include expert knowledge of the ISD/SAT Models: ADDIE – Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate.
Acts as consultant to the FS&SD supervisor on all matters relating to providing curriculum development services to METC faculty and staff.
Develops educational procedures and standards and establish performance requirements to be used by FS&SD to evaluate instructors’ preparation in the use of proper curriculum development.
Develops and revise courses to envelop new concepts and technology in curriculum development.
Evaluates the attrition rate of METC students and recommend corrective action.
Develops the performance standards for curriculum development programs by establishing program goals and standards, which are annually reported to the Instructional Delivery Department (IDD) Associate Dean; with evaluations and recommended solutions to any identified trends and deficiencies.
Monitors the latest techniques and strategies related to curriculum development to include the use of technology.
Provides training programs to the teaching staff, in regard to curriculum development techniques.
Plans and schedules briefings for staff related to curriculum development at the METC.
