Overview

Use this Overview:  B3H Corporation is seeking a qualified Functional Area Manager (FAM) to support HC-130P/J and HH-60G platforms.  The FAM will assist HQ ACC/A3J with providing policy, guidance and resources necessary to organize train and equip rescue forces to deliver rescue capabilities in support of US Government objectives across the range of military operations, and ensure at-risk personnel, commanders and staffs are prepared to execute.  This position will provide HC-130 or HH-60G Weapons system and FAM expertise to assist A3JO Operations and A3JT Training branches with issues affecting flying and training of HC-130 or HH-60G aircraft and crews.

 

 

Responsibilities

Provide HC-130 or HH-60G Weapons system and FAM expertise to assist A3JO Operations and A3JT Training branches with issues affecting flying and training of HC-130 or HH-60G aircraft and crews.
 

Advise and assist in evaluating and determining annual HC-130 or HH-60G Global Force Management allocations to combatant commanders.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare UTC and DOC Statements annually for approximately 5 units.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare monthly SORTS, DRRS and METs reports and must be able to analyze the data presented by the units and brief possible solutions to senior leadership during monthly briefings.
 

Provide expertise in aircrew training, standardization/evaluation and operations procedures IAW AFI 11- 2HC-130 Vol 1 and 3, AFI 16-301 and Major Weapon System (MWS) Technical Orders. Provide OCR inputs for AFI 11-2HC-130V 2 or AFI 11-2 HH-60G Vols 1, 2, and 3.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare HC-130 or HH-60G Instructions and policy (AFI 11-2HC-130 or AFI 11- 2HH-60 Vols 1, 2, 3, AFI 16-301, AFTTP 3-1/3 for both MDSs, and Technical Orders) changes and rewrites IAW governing AFI.

 

Review, coordinate and prepare RAP tasking messages and reports.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare RTRB briefings, and publishes pre and post RTRB products semi- annually.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare response for SIB/AIB.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare mishap review panel brief and semiannual AFSAS review for COMACC.
 

Review, coordinate and prepare waiver packages.
 

Provide support for the development and staffing of Staff packages, CONOPS, CONEMPS, Enabling Concepts, Roadmaps and Contingency Plans.
 

Liaise with Headquarters Air Force (HAF) regarding the HC-130 or HH-60G programs.
 

Liaise with 23rd Wing, 28th Bomb Wing and 49th Wing (primarily the Operations Group) regarding HC- 130 or HH-60G operations and training development.
 

Liaise with NGB and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) regarding HC-130 or HH-60G operations, training and sustainment.
 

Coordinate with HC-130 or HH-60G Systems Program Office at Wright Patterson AFB, OH and ACC/A8R for HC-130 or HH-60G system enhancements and assist in defining modernization requirements to support current/future weapon system upgrades, training, sustainment, and employment.
 

Review (bi-annually), coordinate and prepare aircrew position specific training syllabi (IQT/MQT, RQT and Instructor Upgrade for Pilots, Navigators, Flight Engineers, and Loadmasters) and Training Task Lists (TTL).

Qualifications

Security Clearance:  Top Secret / SCI Eligible

 

 

Possess Bachelor Degree.

 

Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience as NAF, MAJCOM or HAF level staff (action officer).

 

possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience with the programming and funding process.  (PPBE, POM process, ExPlan, SpendPlan).

 

Possess senior aeronautical rating in one of the PR weapons systems (HC-130, HH-60G or CRO). (Cannot be the same FTE meeting the 4.7.7.5 or 4.7.7.6 KSA)

 

Minimum of 1500 hours and previously qualified as an Instructor/Evaluator in the HC-130 or HH-60G. (Cannot be the same FTE meeting the 4.7.7.4 or 4.7.7.6 KSA)

 

Minimum of 10 years operational background in Air Force rotary-wing operations as a rated Helicopter pilot or enlisted Special Mission Aviator (within the last 5 years) to include five years in Air Force Combat Search and Rescue. (Cannot be the same FTE meeting the 4.7.7.4 or 4.7.7.5 KSA)

 

Minimum of 5 years PR/Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) operational experience.

 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience and be highly proficient with Task Management Tool (TMT)

 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Air Mission Commander, Rescue Mission Commander or On Scene Commander responsibilities. Experienced in ACC Rescue FARP operations as specified in AFTTP 3-3.HC-130 and AFI 11-235 FARP site.
 

Graduate of Course S-V81-A, SERE Specialist Training and possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a SERE Specialist.
 

Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and supporting PR-related Special Access Programs.
 

Graduate of the Pararescue and/or Combat Rescue Officer Course.
 

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pararescue Team Leader or Combat Rescue Officer Team Commander.
 

Ability to maintain PR-related special access programs (SAPs) and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) programs for ACC and AF PR.
 

Minimum of 5 years’ CSAR C2 operational experience.
 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience of current Air Force PR/CSAR C2 programs developments and initiatives.
