Overview

Headquarters, Air Combat Command (ACC), Directorate of Operations (A3), Flight Operations Division (A3T) at Langley Air Force Base, VA is responsible for the combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces (CAF). ACC/A3T provides the operational expertise required to meet current and future needs of the CAF. The organization develops, coordinates and publishes command guidance for all aspects of CAF fighter aircrew training.

 

Responsibilities

Provide the experience and expertise necessary to support all computer and network requirements for over

250 classified and unclassified systems, to include information assurance, emission security and communication security requirements, and Tier I and II Desk Top support.

 

Have current unclassified (NIPRNET) and classified (SIPRNET) administrative privileges and permissions for JBLE-Langley AFB. The contractor shall efficiently maintain a complete inventory of all hardware and software and effectively project tech refresh purchase options throughout the year.

 

Maintain DoD 8570 baseline certification training for IAT Level II (Security+) and all Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC), Unit Software License Manager (USLM), Client System Administrator (CSA), and Cybersecurity Liaison (CL) annual training requirements.

 

Have sufficient skills to troubleshoot and repair any computer system or subsystem, to include data recovery.

 

Develop training, as necessary, to educate users on new capabilities or changes to current hardware/software configurations.

 

Ensure that all users understand Information Assurance and Protection and shall perform periodic exercises and develop plans to test user response to security threats.

 

Possess the knowledge and experience to develop and maintain web content on both the unclassified Air

Force (AF) Portal and classified (SIPRNET) web servers.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

 

Required five years’ experience providing systems and network administration and oversight for an organization with over 250 classified and unclassified computing systems and peripherals

 

Required current Secret eligible for upgrade to Top Secret/ SAR

 

Certified IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8570 Required completion of a network certification course such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+; MCSA General Network Administration, or other applicable course

 

Required five years’ experience in LAN Administration

 

Required five years’ experience in Desktop Support

 

Required One year’ experience in Network Administration with systems similar in size to Air Force

MAJCOM level
 
Required one year’ experience with Equipment and Software management to include custodial duties

 

Required five years’ experience with Information Assurance/Cyber Security
