Headquarters, Air Combat Command (ACC), Directorate of Operations (A3), Flight Operations Division (A3T) at Langley Air Force Base, VA is responsible for the combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces (CAF). ACC/A3T provides the operational expertise required to meet current and future needs of the CAF. The organization develops, coordinates and publishes command guidance for all aspects of CAF fighter aircrew training.
Assist in the development, formulation, and implementation of new or revised rated manpower production, absorption, and assignment policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Assist in the tracking of the CAF’s current manning and Experience levels for pilots, combat systems officers, air battle managers, and remotely piloted aircraft crew members against a stated requirements.
Perform in-depth analyses of current CAF rated manning and absorption policies and programs; helps develop MAJCOM-level advice, guidance, and counsel concerning policies and programs.
Assist in the collection and validation of graduate Programmed Flying Training (PFT) requirements and
Formal Training Unit (FTU) training capacities.
Assist in the preparation of briefing materials for the Aircrew Management Executive Council, General
Officer Steering Group, and the Aircrew Summit.
Perform administrator duties for the Automated Aircrew Management System (AAMS).
Evaluate and coordinate Action Change Requests (ACR) ensuring adherence to stated rated management policies/procedures.
Assist in the development of agenda items for rated management meetings, working groups, conferences, and symposiums.
Develop or presents briefings, operational and functional plans, point papers, and special project papers, correspondence, memos, and messages and other documents conforming to established formats for presentation at MAJCOM, Air Force, Joint/Unified, and DoD levels.
Required Secret clearance.
Required ten years of USAF rated aviator (e.g. pilot, CSO, ABM, etc.) experience.
Required one year of air CAF training administration, policy, and procedures.
Required three years of NAF or above staff experience.
Desired Bachelor’s degree.
