B3H Corporation is seeking qualified candidates to augment training activities of the 16th Training Squadron (TRS), Holloman AFB, NM. The 16th TRS is responsible for providing administrative and instructional support to MQ-1B Predator and MQ-9 Reaper Formal Training Units (FTU). It also manages, equips, and provides academic/simulator training to students participating in Predator/Reaper syllabus course. Personnel are needed to fill the following positions: Site Lead, Simulator Console Operator (SCO), Simulator Tactical Programmer (STP), Flight Training Manager, Standardization and Evaluation Manager, Simulator Duty Director (SDD), Ground Control Station (GCS) Scenario Developer, Tactical Scenario Developer.
All positions are located at Holloman AFB, NM.
The primary duty of the Simulator Console Operator (SCO) is to provide real time Predator Mission Aircrew Training Simulator (PMATS) mission support to on-going simulator missions, including EPE’s, Launch and Recovery, Continuation Training (CT), regular syllabus missions, student practice missions, debriefs and VIP and/or guest demonstrations
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the event and is responsible for loading the appropriately scheduled missions ahead of the arrival of the instructor and student crew scheduled for the simulator
Maintain an immediate presence during the conduct of the mission in order to provide real-time tactical adjustments as directed by the instructor or CT crew
Inject pre-planned inputs taken from scripts provided by the Government via voice communications, via the multi-user Internet Relay Chat (mIRC) program, or directly into the PMATS
Manage a government provided real-time flight tracking program (such as Zeus) by having the software loaded and configured for the Instructor to reference
Provide troubleshooting assistance for maintenance or programming issues that may occur
Coordinate with the Simulator Duty Director to resolve malfunctions
Ensure that any maintenance or system malfunctions are captured and written on the 16 TRS PMATS MX Debrief Form after each Sim
Ensure that the form is turned into the Simulator Duty Director (SDD) desk and that the SDD understands the issues
Be available to the instructor crew during simulator set up time for mission coordination
Provide support on atypical days such as ACC family days, training days, down days, etc. may be decreased by 16TRS/DO or delegate if able to do so without mission impacts. SCOs may be placed on a recall status and must be able to report to the sim with 1-hour notice
Demonstrated experience with flight training simulators.
Candidates must possess at least one (1) of the following:
One (1) year of MQ-1 or MQ-9 simulator (PMATS) experience; or
Two (2) years of experience executing military flight simulator training; or
Two (2) years of Close Air Support (CAS) operational experience as a qualified aircrew member, intel support, or JTAC (Joint Terminal Air Controller).
Ideal candidates will have MQ-1/9 experience.
