  • Overview

    Provide subject matter expertise and solutions to Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division, Ground Systems Branch (A3CG) for the continued operational operations and operational support of the Air Force Control and Reporting Center (CRC), which includes: maintenance of the systems’ operational configuration, training, proper execution of air defense procedures, CRC Unit Training Code (UTC) management, and CRC readiness.  Focus of the position is CRC conceptual operational plans and execution support. 

    Responsibilities

    1. Participate in internal and external working groups, conferences, and experimentation and development events providing CRC expertise.
    2. Review, develop and prepare CRC Employment Concept, conceptual operational plans, and proper execution of CRC process execution.
    3. Prepare, review and develop Combined, Joint, AF, Multi-Service doctrine and regulations. Draft A3C position on ACC and Air Staff Taskers to include Enabling Concepts, Functional Concepts, Command and Control (C2) and Corona taskers.
    4. Liaise with other ACC divisions and MAJCOMs for CRC operational interests in order to improve synchronization and alignment of policy and doctrine in an efficient manner.
    5. Liaise with system program offices, other agencies on staff and other CRCs to remain current on CRC weapon system capabilities, developments and initiatives to be able to advise division and branch leadership on policies and positions.
    6. Advise and recommend options to manage and improve CRC processes, procedures, doctrine, manning levels, efficiency and effectiveness equipment capabilities; and training requirements. Participate as Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CRC related exercises, tests, experimentation, table top and staff level events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of the CRC and associated infrastructure.

    Qualifications

    1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years rated experience as an Air Force Air Battle Manager (AF AFSC 13B) or 15 years’ experience as Aerospace Control and Warning Systems Operator (AF AFSC 1C5).

    2. Possess a minimum of 2 years CRC operational experience.

    3. Possess a minimum of 3 years in NAF, MAJCOM or HAF level staff experience (action officer) to include program and funding actions, working CRC support

    4. Possess 3 years’ experience in working with Air Force CRC weapons system capabilities, developments and initiatives.
